We hire highly driven people who want canines and animals as part of their career. We don’t require experience, but do require skills like a love for learning about animal behavior, job loyalty, flexibility, and punctuality. Most of all, bring on the positivity, open-mindedness, and kindness!

OPEN POSITIONS

Most of our clients are dogs that range from the really friendly to the shy/nervous. None of our dog clients are people aggressive, nor would we accept that type of client. We also have cats of varying temperaments (none aggressive) from ultra shy to super friendly.

During dog walks, we actively reinforce good behaviors, and do desensitizing and conditioning, all with positive reinforcement and force-free methods.

  • Paid drive time and training

    Pay raises for Pet CPR/First Aid Certification, pay raises and reimbursement for completion of Dog*Biz Dog Walker Academy for CDW credentials, Pet Sitters International CPPS certification test, and Fear Free Happy Homes Fear Free Pet Sitter Certification.

    Paid Time Off accrual after 90 days of employment.

    Roth 401(K) with matching after 90 days of employment.

    Vehicle Maintenance Reimbursement Plan with annual maximum of $500.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

    Must be able to work with dogs & cats of all sizes and breeds.

    Must be willing to learn to care for ALL types of pets...dogs, cats, birds, bunnies, reptiles, etc.

    Must have a great attitude and can be a "people person" as needed.

    Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, clean driving record, and auto insurance.

    Must have a smart phone with internet access.

    Must be able to accurately follow explicit written and verbal instructions.

    Must be able to pass a background check.

    Must be willing to travel to most areas of Middle Tennessee.

    Absolutely no smoking or vaping, inside or outside of client’s property.

  • Show up to the interview. (Can't believe I have to say it but it's true!)

    Find pet behavior fascinating and want to learn more so they can kick ass at their job.

    Love our clients' pets so much they joke about taking them home (but never actually do it, that's stealing!).

    Laugh when they get soaked in a downpour and the dog is so damn happy to be wet with you.

    Want a job they can stay at long term, like maybe you love taking care of the pets but don't want your own business ever, yuck!

    Talks to the animals no matter who is around, even in public.

    Calls every dog a good boi or good gurl.

    Has a panic attack if they're late to a visit (not really, we actually want calm relaxed people that make being on time a point of pride).

    Are flexible with their time and how they interact with people the way yoga instructors are with their bodies.

    Technology doesn't scare them.

    Teeth don't scare them.

    Big dogs don't scare them.

    Think cats, bunnies, snakes, chinchillas, lizards are all cool AF.

    Will have a vehicle they don't question will get them from point A-B and aren't one of those crazy Nashville drivers we've all been complaining about.

    Can drive all across town (and sometimes outside of town) if needed, including zig zagging like a bumblebee.

    Is incredibly reliable, and motivated to do well because that's just how they do..

    Can learn to safely handle big dogs who pull on their walks, jump up at toys, demand bark, or are picky about their dog friends and want to chase and shake cars by their bumpers.

 

Part-time Individual Dog Walker

  • Walk dogs individually or from the same household per our training policies.

    Hourly pet sitting when the need arises.

    Must be willing to walk dogs in ALL extreme weather (heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.) per our training policies.

    Must adhere to force-free methods as trained.

    Communicate with clients clearly for updates after every visit and provide beautiful photos of the walk.

    Must become Pet CPR/First Aid Certified within 30 days of hire.

  • S-M-T-W-T-F-S, Days/Evenings/Holidays. Flexible Hours.

  • 10-20 hrs/week, $15.50+ per hour.

 
 
 

Overnight Pet Sitter

  • Caring for pets overnight from 8pm-7am in clients’ homes, per the clients’ instructions.

    Caring for pets during the day from 7am-8pm in clients’ homes, per the clients’ instructions.

    Being on-call when another pet sitter is sitting in case of emergencies.

    Must be willing to walk dogs in ALL extreme weather (heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.) per our training policies.

    Must adhere to force-free methods as trained.

    Communicate with clients clearly for updates every morning and evening and provide beautiful photos.

    Must become Pet CPR/First Aid Certified within 30 days of hire.

  • S-M-T-W-T-F-S, Nights/Days/Evenings/Holidays.

  • 10-40 hrs/week, $12.75+ per hour.
